Now you see, this picture always makes me laugh.
Here are three women in the same spot -- it's a hot sunny day in Italy, but it is a bit damp just here, in the spray of the waterfall.
You can obviously choose to focus on the dampness, or not, in B's case.
Bless her, like I said at the wedding, she always puts her face up to the elements!

yes, liz, the wind has been fierce these last few days, but as usual we are keeping our heads up and enjoying whatever we get given!
@ dad - you are very right about Brigid wanting to make the best of everything.
You wwouldn't know this, but one of the first things I learnt from her, when we were just friends who went cycling together after work, was the way that no mater what the weather she always smiled into it, and enjoyd the rain, wind whatever on her face ...
At our wedding, instead of traditional speeches all the guests, including us, told a little story about how we relate to each other. This was what I told about B because it has been the most important thing for me. She has had such a big iunfluence on my life, with this attitude to keep out of depressions and enjoy the simplest of everyday things, even the ones that might seem grizzly, like rainy weather ..
so there you are - and this picture just encapsulates that side of her, though it seems a bit dark and maybe you cant really see the huge grin on her face!

I agree, attitude is all. You can change your entire world once you let your senses work, and be happy just to be alive and aware.
